Next Society Meeting
The 2024 USCAP Annual Meeting will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland from March 23 – March 28 2024. The History of Pathology Companion Meeting will be presented on Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 4:30PM – 6:30PM.. The program will center around the history of hematopathology and include presentations by:
Dr. Mariko Yabe (MSKCC, NY) : “History of Rosai-Dorfman disease: A tribute to Dr. Juan Rosai”; Dr. Agnes Loeffler (MetroHealth System, Case Western – Cleveland, OH) : “Karl Landsteiner and the Development of Hematology in the Setting of Turn of the Century Vienna”; Dr. Bren Tan (Stanford University, CA) : “History and evolution of flow cytometry”; Dr. Richard Baltaro (Vidant Health - ECU, NC): “History of ancient genes”.
Past Meetings
The 2023 USCAP Annual Meeting was held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana from March 11 – March 16, 2023. The History of Pathology Companion Meeting was presented on Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 4:30PM – 6:30PM.. The program centered around the history of cytopathology and included marvelous presentations regarding the life of Dr. George Papanicolaou, his artist Hashime Murayama, the Bethesda System and the evolution of cytopathology. Presenters included Drs Ritu Nayar, Nikolaous Chantziantoniou, Daniel Kurtycz, and Rachel Godeskey.
