The 2023 USCAP Annual Meeting was held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana from March 11 – March 16, 2023. The History of Pathology Companion Meeting was presented on Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 4:30PM – 6:30PM.. The program centered around the history of cytopathology and included marvelous presentations regarding the life of Dr. George Papanicolaou, his artist Hashime Murayama, the Bethesda System and the evolution of cytopathology. Presenters included Drs Ritu Nayar, Nikolaous Chantziantoniou, Daniel Kurtycz, and Rachel Godeskey. The first History of Pathology Henry Azar Award for advocating for the history of pathology was presented.
